Celebrating 15 years!

Join us in celebrating Mary Hurt's 15th Anniversary here at The Hughes Agency. Her dedication and excellent work ethic is very much appreciated. She has helped The Hughes Agency become what it is today through hard work and knowledge of the Staffing Industry. She is an advocate to our Clients as well as our Employees. She does not hesitate to "step up" and make sure that everyone is treated with fairness and ethically. Her knowledge of Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivables makes her department run efficiently and smoothly year after year. I would like to share a few things that her fellow co-workers had to say about her.

Let me say in the 12 years that I have worked with Mary , she comes to work ever day an gives 110 % to her job . an I love her for her hard work an dedication to the Hughes Agency family .And I can say that I'm glad to call her my friend an co- worker .I hope that she is here 15 more. -James Tucker

I'll never forget Mary's first week with the company. Doesn't seem like 15th years. Mary has been very good at her job. Taking on more & more as the years have rolled by. M- Motherly - always shows warmth and affection, whether by a kind word, a funny joke, a hug, or her warm smile. Mary's motherly nature has managed to brighten every day for me since I started with Hughes.

A - Awesome - a one woman show. There's no task too big, whether she's processing weekly payroll for ALL internal and field employees, balancing the businesses payables, or simply offering her assistance to an employee who needs tax advice... She extends her Awesome ability to take on the world with the effortless grace that she exhibits every day.

R - Rare - summed up by the author TS Arthur ~ "Even Her thoughts are real gems, rich and rare, and when she speaks there is a flash of diamonds in her sentences; not the flash of mere brilliant sayings, like the gleaming of a polished sword, but of living truths, that lit up with their own pure radiance every mind that has received them."

Y - Youthful, Vigorous, & Energetic - Mary never forgets to let loose and play a little bit. When she lets her inner child emerge, whether she's giving someone a good laugh or rocking to her favorite tunes just being around her laughter and energy is invigorating and refreshing.

Mary is the best person and coworker ever! She is like my 2nd mother. Mary is dependable and always get things done. She is an excellent teacher and mentor. I have worked with Mary for 11 years and I am so very grateful to have her in my life. Not only as a co-worker but as a very dear friend. Congratulations Mary on 15 years! Mary is a great inspiration to us all here at The Hughes Agency. She goes above and beyond not only for our Customer's but all Employees. She has a giving heart and spirit that is very contagious. Her laughter fills the halls and when you hear her you may not know what she is laughing about but it still makes you smile. I refer to her as our "voice of reason" she stops and listens to your dilemma and then helps you find a solution to what is going on regardless if it has to do with billing, payroll or just general issues. I cant imagine The Hughes Agency without Ms. Mary. Congratulations on 15 years of service. We all love you dearly!-Tara

All I can really say about Mary is that for the 5 years I have been here she has been a Rock. Of course, the first thing you think of when you think of Mary is her cooking. Everyone enjoys anything that she ever makes for us. On a business note, I watched her a year or so ago take a real person interest in one of our employees. He had a problem with some past taxes and was getting a very large garnishment. He simply did not understand the tax process or the importance of it. Mary took time from her own job duties, pulled this employee into our office and personally went over all the years of tax returns that were in question. She then called the IRS on his behave and worked out a payment plan that he could afford on his income. I am not positive but I also believe she personally done his taxes for him for the next year or so. I do not know the details of everything that she personally did but I do know that none of it was required. She done these things from her own heart and out of kindness for one of The Hughes Agency employees, a man she had never previously met in person.

I have been with the Hughes Agency for almost a year and have worked with Mary on Payroll Distribution. She is always patient and is willing to explain what we do so I will understand and learn. Every morning she has a smile for all of us! Most of all I like Mary because she fixes my favorite breakfast-biscuits and gravy. Congrats Mary!! -Ed

Where do I start? Mary has been with us for 15 years and during those years she has been dedicated, honest and reliable. She has helped The Hughes Agency become what it is today. She goes above and beyond to help anyone whether it's a client, employee, or co-worker. I have witnessed many things that she has done to really show what a magnificent person she is. I have been with The Hughes Agency for a year and have had the pleasure to work directly for Mary. She has taught me so much in the little amount of time that I have been here. If you want an answer to something and not have it sugar coated whether personal or business Mary is the person to ask. I have a tremendous amount of respect for her.
